Give Where Your Heart Is on the Big Day of Giving 2017!

On Thursday, May 4, the Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC) is participating in the Big Day of Giving — a 24-hour online giving challenge to raise more than $7 million for nonprofits in the Sacramento region.

SAAC’s goal is to raise $10,000 for our low-cost spay and neuter programs, which prevent thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born and ending up in area shelters.

Please help us reach our Big Day of Giving goal and save animal lives! Here are all the ways you can help:

    • Join us on social media. When you read and share our posts, you help build support and awareness for SAAC. It takes a network to help the animals!
    • If you haven’t already, please subscribe to our email list. We promise, we won’t spam you! But we’d like to share our success when we reach our Big Day of Giving goal.
    • Attend our Sip and Snip event on May 4! We’ll be at Yolo Brewing Company in West Sacramento from 3 to 9 p.m. with raffle prizes and pet-related giveaways. It’s “Thursty Thursday” with $4 beer specials all night. And Yolo Brewing Company is generously donating a portion of beer sales that night toward SAAC’s Big Day of Giving goal. Come have a beer and “spay” a while!

Justin Miller was able to have his dog, Granger, spayed using SAAC’s voucher program in July 2016.

    •  Give on May 4. Between midnight and 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, just visit www.bigdayofgiving.org and make a tax-deductible gift of $15 or more to the Sacramento Area Animal Coalition. Every donation makes a difference. In fact, just $25 can neuter one cat and prevent litters of unwanted kittens.
Why Donate to SAAC?

SAAC is an all-volunteer, registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Because we have little overhead, 95% of donations we receive go directly to spaying and neutering animals and preventing unwanted puppies and kittens.

Demand for low-cost spay/neuter in the Sacramento area is high, and our resources are limited. If we can raise $10,000 on Big Day of Giving, then we can help income qualified families meet the cost to spay and neuter their pets.

Thanks for your support!
