Feral Guidelines
Guidelines for Participating in SAAC’s Feral Cat Project
Thank you for helping to control feral cat populations in your community.
What to expect when using SAAC Feral Assistance Coupons
- Feral Assistance Coupons may only be redeemed at the veterinary clinic originally assigned to you.
- We will issue a maximum of TWO coupons at one time. If you need more, we will issue them after the first two have been used or have expired. Please go to our online application form to reapply for more coupons.
- We assign personal responsibility to each coupon; therefore we do not issue coupons for rescue groups.
- Please be sure to trap only feral cats or kittens. Any cat not deemed feral may be refused by the participating veterinary clinics.
- Every feral cat/kitten trapped using a feral coupon WILL get an ear tip. (This is not optional.)
- If you are planning to trap on a specific day, please contact your assigned clinic to let them know. However, appointments are not necessary.
- There is a $10 co-pay required for each cat (male or female).
- Each cat will receive a spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if old enough at the time of surgery), and an ear tip. NO ADDITIONAL SERVICES WILL BE COVERED BY SAAC.
