Give Where Your Heart Is on the Big Day of Giving!

BDOG_2016_Logo_150pxOn Tuesday, May 3, the Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC), is participating in the Big Day of Giving — a 24-hour online giving challenge to raise $6 million for 570 nonprofits in the Sacramento region.

SAAC’s goal is to raise $12,000 for our low-cost spay and neuter programs, which prevent thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born and ending up in area shelters.

Please help us reach our Big Day of Giving goal and save animal lives! Here are 4 ways you can help:

  1. Join us on social media. By reading and sharing our posts, you’ll help build support and awareness for SAAC. It takes a network to help the animals!
  2. Yolo_Brewing_Logo_smallIf you haven’t already, please subscribe to our email list. We promise, we won’t spam you! But we’d like to share our success when we reach our Big Day of Giving goal.
  3. Attend our Sip and Snip event on May 3! We’ll be at Yolo Brewing Company in West Sacramento from 4 to 8 p.m. with raffle prizes and pet-related giveaways. It’s “Taco Tuesday” with beer and taco specials all night. And Yolo Brewing Company is generously donating a portion of beer sales that night toward SAAC’s Big Day of Giving goal. Come have a beer and “spay” a while!
  4. Spay Day offers affordable spay and neuter surgeries

Marta Valenga had her dog and companion, Dulce, spayed for just $20 during SAAC’s Spay Day event in February 2016.

Give on May 3. Between midnight and 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, just visit www.bigdayofgiving.org and make a tax-deductible gift of $25 or more to the Sacramento Area Animal Coalition. Every donation makes a difference. In fact, just $25 can neuter one cat and prevent litters of unwanted kittens.

SAAC is an all-volunteer, registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; because we have little overhead, 97% of donations we receive go directly to spaying and neutering animals and preventing unwanted puppies and kittens.

Demand for low-cost spay/neuter in the Sacramento is high, and our resources are limited. If we can raise $12,000 on Big Day of Giving, we can help income qualified families meet the cost to spay and neuter their pets.

Thanks for your support!
